We are Michiganders.
We are committed to responsible development and conservation by protecting wetlands, endangered species and cultural artifacts. Like existing underground salt mines in Detroit, Cleveland, and Goderich, Ontario, all of our mining activity will take place entirely underground where it will be invisible to the general public.
We will work to protect and sustain the Project area's natural habitats for the Dwarf Lake Iris, Piping Plover, and Kirtland's Warbler.
This Project takes advantage of the existing footprint of the 100+ year old surface quarry by complementing its use.
All underground mining activity will take place inland at least 1,500 feet from the Lake Huron shoreline.
