The exploration area centers on 8,000 acres of minerals located beneath the Calcite Limestone Quarry and 6,000 acres of land east of the quarry owned by United States Steel Corporation, bringing the total development to 14,000 acres.
We will create the mine using incline tunnel technology to reach the minable salt located approximately 1,800 feet below the surface. A mine designed with an incline tunnel portal is constructed at ground level without the obtrusive shaft and headgears associated with traditional mining technology.
The initial drilling program of 8-12 test holes on one-acre parcels within the Project area will be completed, primarily in the existing quarry footprint.
